With his trip to Australia on the horizon, Kyle Hirst will also team with Michael Cunningham of PRP Engineering to help shake down his new A.R.T. Chassis, but will also assist Cunningham in getting set up as the official dealer of A.R.T. Chassis in Australia.
After seeing the high success of A.R.T. Chassis in the United States, Cunningham reached out to the California based company in hopes of utilizing and acting as a dealer of their cars from PRP Engineering located in Kyneton, Victoria.
“We are very excited to be tied in with such good people and their great product, the A.R.T. chassis,” said Cunningham.
In an effort to strengthen his bond with the company, and ensure a flawless transition to the cars, Cunningham has hired Kyle Hirst, an A.R.T. employee, to pilot his PRP Engineering No.74 machine in a handful of races with American crew-chief, Rod Tiner, handling the wrenches.
Though Cunningham already has a full schedule for himself lined up this season, he is hopeful that Hirst and Tiner can aid him in his transition, and help spread the word of A.R.T. in Australia.
Aside from serving as a driver for Cunnignham, Hirst will also provide PRP Engineering support as they take in their first shipment of A.R.T.’s and assist them in set up to maximize the American companies exposure down under.
“It’s awesome for Glen and Art Boune of A.R.T. Speed Equipment to have such a good opportunity to get the word out about their product in Australia,” said Hirst. “With how much the sprint car scene is evolving there it will be great for their company. I’m excited to get down there and help Michael Cunningham and PRP Engineering get set up, and even get to drive for him in a few races.”
ON TAP: Hirst will be in action on December 26th in Adelaide, South Australia for the opening night of WSS SPeedweek.
