After getting a feel for the track in hotlaps, qualifying saw Dollansky stop the clock at 10.549 seconds, 15th fastest of the 31 drivers competing. Missing the twelve car inversion for three heat races put the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim inside row three of heat three where the Elk River, Minnesota native battled with Daryn Pittman and Jason Sides for third but ended up finishing 5th to transfer into the main event.
Set to go for 40-laps around the ¼-mile bullring, the MobileStar backed entry took the green inside row eight. After a red on lap 1, Dollansky fell back two spots before a yellow on lap 17. After two additional cautions in the next four circuits, the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products #7 moved up three positions battling an abrasive racing surface until a red seven circuits later on lap 28. With not much opportunity to advance in the final twelve laps on a track that was laying rubber, the Big Game Treestands sprinter crossed the finish line in 14th.
The Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team of DJ Lindsey, Sean Michael, and Pete Stephens continue the Gold Rush Tour tonight returning to Southern Oregon Speedway.
