Fremont Speedway fans and drivers to unite one last time in 2013

FREMONT, Ohio – Fremont Speedway fans and race teams will get together one last time in 2013 to celebrate the 62nd season of “The Track That Action Built.”

 

The top 10 drivers in the track’s points will share in the 2013 point fund at the track’s banquet to be held Saturday, Nov. 16 in the Flower Building at the Sandusky County Fairgrounds. Fans are also encouraged to attend the banquet.

 

Drivers need to attend the banquet in order to receive point fund money.

 

Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased from Promoter Rich Farmer at the Racer’s Swap Meet at the fairgrounds to be held Saturday, Oct. 26 or by calling 419-307-4241.

 

Doors will open for the banquet at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. and awards following.

 

The top 10 in points for the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprints are: 1. Byron Reed; 2. Craig Mintz; 3. D.J. Foos; 4. Chris Andrews; 5. Caleb Griffith; 6. Brian Lay; 7. Duane Zablocki; 8. Stuart Brubaker; 9. Dean Jacobs and 10. Bryan Sebetto. Foos will also be honored as the Rookie of the Year.

 

The top 10 in points for the Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprints are: 1. John Ivy; 2. Nate Dussel; 3. Jordan Ryan; 4. Alvin Roepke; 5. Dustin Dinan; 6. Jason Keckler; 7. T.J. Michael; 8. Paul Weaver; 9. Tyler Gunn; 10. Dan Hammond. Michael will also be honored as the Rookie of the Year.

 

The top 10 in points for the AAA Ohio Auto Club Dirt Trucks are: 1. John Ivy; 2. Shawn Valenti; 3. Dan Roepke Jr.; 4. Dustin Keegan; 5. Cory Ward; 6. Art Ball; 7. Matt Foos; 8. Ben Good; 9. Keith Sorg; 10. Jeff Ward. Foos will also be honored as the Rookie of the Year.

 

The top 10 in points for the Computer Man Sports Compacts are: 1. Andrew Schroeder; 2. Amanda Shammo; 3. Brandon Myers; 4. Evan Patynko; 5. McKenzie Biddle; 6. Eric Pocock; 7. Taylor Holland; 8. Brandon Leighton; 9. Chevy Farmer; 10. Andy Earnhart.

 

Besides the drivers earning awards, Fremont Speedway will honor a few of its marketing partners with the Alex Burkett Business Award. And, several track workers will be honored for their years of service.

 

Also, the top five in points for the season-long Fremont Speedway Fantasy League will receive plaques: 1. Jayanne Ervin; 2. Kim Rasnick; 3. David Mesnard; 4. Todd Keegan; 5. Kim Halbeisen.

 

And, based on fan feedback, Nate Dussel will earn a $500 bonus for the Best Celebration Insanity presented by BCI Contracting. Fans voted Dussel’s victory lane celebration – including putting his sprint car on it’s side while attempting to do victory donuts – as the best for 2013.
