It was a case of déjà vu for Danny Reidy at Archerfield Speedway last Saturday night during the twin Sprintcar feature race format that was also the ninth round of the KRE Sprintcar Series.

After finishing last season’s twin feature races with a win and a non-finish, Reidy this time around drove to victory in the opening 20-lap feature race, but, after starting from position 10, ended the second feature race in seventh. He finished the night third overall.

“It was great to win the opening feature race, but in the second feature race, we were a bit off with our setup, and consequently struggled to move forward,” explained the NQ # 5 Desert Palms Resort in Alice Springs supported Maxim driver. “I have been pretty pleased with my form over the past month, and hopefully I can continue this form through to the end of the season.”

Earlier in the night, Reidy had qualified fourth in time trials, and then finished his two heat races with a fifth and a win. This put him out of position three for the opening feature race. In this event, he hit the lead early, and was never headed. For the second feature race, he had to start from position 10, but struggled to move forward and finished in seventh.

Reidy will now have this weekend off, before returning to Archerfield Speedway on Saturday night, March 1 for the 10th round of the KRE Series.

Reidy Racing would like to thank Desert Palms Resort in Alice Springs, Downs Tinting & Signs, P&M Motor Body Repairs, Gonzo’s Race Pipes and Inglis Race Engines, for all of their 2013-14 season support.
