– SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (April 15, 2014) – Jack Dover is set to make his debut at Raceway Park this Saturday.
The Nebraska 360 Sprints event will be the first at the small track in Jefferson, S.D., which is less than two hours from Dover’s shop.
“I’ve went by it the last 10 or 12 years and have wanted to race on it,” he said. “It’s tiny and has a lot of banking to it. I’d call it a mini sprint track.”
Dover estimated that the track is a small quarter-mile oval and will create conditions with constant side-by-side battling for position.
“You’ve got to be more aggressive and up on the wheel,” he said. “You have to be thinking nonstop about what your next move is going to be.”
Saturday marks the third Nebraska 360 Sprints race of the season. In 18 events last season, Dover picked up nine victories and 13 top fives.
“We ran with them last year and won half the races,” he said. “I’m one of the top competitors there and every time I go I’m expecting to win.”
