CORR/PAK MERCHANDISING 360 SPRINT CARS
Mitch Brown moved back into 2nd place in the 360 Sprint Car championship points standings with an emotional win in honour of his grandfather last Friday. He’s now 26 points behind leader Glenn Styres, while defending champ Jim Huppunen is just 1 point behind Brown. Kyle Patrick is 4th, while Chris Steele, Shane Ross, Todd Hoddick, Dave Dykstra, Keith Dempster, and Jamie Turner hold top 10 spots. Cory Turner is 12th, and leads the Rookie of the Year standings.

STRICKLAND’S GMC CRATE SPRINT CARS
Ryan Hunsinger continues to lead the Crate Sprint Car standings, but Aaron Turkey inched closer to Hunsinger with his 4th win of the season last Friday. Turkey now is 22 points behind Hunsinger, with Jake Brown, Josh Shantz, Mike Thorne, Paul Lang, Mark Czuba, Brad Herron, Tyler Hendricks, and Robbie General holding top 10 spots.

AFFORDABLE TOWING & RECOVERY THUNDER STOCKS
Lee Winger took the win and $1,800 prize from last Friday’s Brock Leonard Memorial 50 for the Thunder Stocks, but didn’t get much ground in the championship standings, as Wyatt Van Wart finished 2nd. Van Wart holds a 42 point lead over Winger heading into this week’s race, while Dave Silverthorn, Jr., Chris Dickie, Bill Bleich, Jr., Jim Lampman, Dave Bailey, Rookie of the Year leader Chase Hess, Ryan Dinning, and Karl Sault hold spots in the top 10.

HRW AUTOMOTIVE MINI STOCKS
Mini Stock championship points leader Tyler Lafantaisie finished 11th last Friday – his first finish outside the top 4 all season. Lafantaisie saw his lead over Rookie of the Year leader Mark Bazuin shrink to 49 points as a result, while Team 66 (Brandon and Jon Janssens), Team 81 (Alex Schuts and Lee Hils), Team 79 (Steve and Dan Miller), Robin Elliott, Lucas Lubin, Team 55 (Rob and Kevin Slater), Matt Nuell, and Kathi Dickie round out the top 10.

GALE’S AUTO AFTERMARKET BOMBERS
Dusty DeBoer scored his second win of the season last Friday, and opened his lead over Joe DeBoer in the Bomber championship points standings to 37 as a result. Ashton Reekie has the 3rd spot, followed by Gillian Hils, Max Chechalk, Paul Longboat, Clinton Nicholls, Gerald Burnham, Tim Nuell, and Dakota Potts.

NORTHERN SUMMER NATIONALS “RACE FOR THE CURE” MONDAY, JULY 28
Grand River Power Sports, 21st Century Signs, Brant News, and the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation have partnered with Ohsweken Speedway to make the Burger Barn Northern Summer Nationals a “Race For The Cure” event in support of the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation. Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Cars, DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, Strickland’s GMC Crate Sprint Cars, and HRW Automotive Mini Stocks are all part of the show. Drivers and teams are collecting pledges for this special event, with prizes from Twenty First Century Signs for those who collect the most.
