Atlanta, GA – (May 13, 2015) – The United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars invade Talladega Short Track for the USCS “THUNDER THURSDAY” week-night SPECIAL event on THURSDAY, May 28th. The weeknight special event serves as Round Four of the 10th annual USCS Sprint Car Speedweek. The action packed racing card is a literal “Smorgasbord of Speed” featuring plenty of high speed action at one of the South’s most popular racing venues as drivers in five popular divisions will be seeking a visit to the www.rockauto.com USCS victory lane.

USCS Outlaw Thundrr Tour presented by K&N Filters drivers from seven states are expected for the first appearance of the USCS sanctioned sprint cars at Talladega Short Track in over a decade. This will be the first-ever USCS event during their USCS Sprint Speedweek mini-series that started ten seasons ago. The United Sprint Car Series, now in its nineteenth season contested it’s first ever event at Talladega Short Track on April 25, 1997. The winner of that event was 11-time National Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee who was the 2014 series Champion as well.

Race teams and race fans will be treated to a full menu of speed contests with racing in five of the area’s most popular divisions. The event includes over 100 laps of Championship main events with drivers competing for approximately $20,000 in prize money. Racing action kicks off on Thursday night at 7:30pm with a full racing program in all divisions including the 120 plus mile per hour USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars.

The second USCS racing division on the action-packed racing card is the www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series winged mini sprints. Drivers for that division are expected from five states for Thursday’s event. Bobby

The Nesmith Dirt Late Model, Sportsman and Rite-way Auto Sales Hot Shots are all three scheduled for a full program in each division during the “THUNDER THURSDAY” night of racing.
