Windom, MN (May 26, 2015) – It has been 25 years since the high banks of Randolph County Raceway heard the echo of 410 winged sprints. The roar will be heard again this Friday night, August 28 when the FVP National Sprint League descends! The much anticipated event on the high banks east of Moberly, Missouri makes up for a washed out attempt last May.

NSL driver Brian Brown knows one place very well at Moberly…Victory Lane! The Grain Valley, Missouri driver has won every race he has competed in at the facility…but this is different. Those were 360 sprint car races, and Friday, the 410’s will be in the house!

Brian’s uncle, and fellow Missouri pilot Danny Lasoski also needs no introduction to Moberly. He was on hand when the World of Outlaws and the USA series visited back in 1989. The four-time Knoxville Nationals champion will be joined by two-time “King of California” Tim Kaeding, and two-time USAC sprint and midget champion, Bryan Clauson, who competed in the Indy 500 last May.

Other NSL drivers expected include seven-time Knoxville Raceway track champ, Terry McCarl, five-time Huset’s Speedway champion, “Dynamite” Mark Dobmeier, seven-time IRA champion, Bill Balog, defending Knoxville Raceway champion Ian Madsen, NSL Eagle Raceway winner, Brad Loyet, Knoxville Nationals $10,000 World Challenge winner Lynton Jeffrey, 2013 360 Huset’s track champ, Matt Juhl, “The Big Unit” Austin McCarl, Tasker Phillips, Dakota Hendrickson and more!

The event is the first of three shows for the NSL this weekend. They will also compete at the Knoxville Raceway in Iowa Saturday and in conjunction with the IRA at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin Sunday.

Tickets and Times

Adult tickets are just $25, kids 6-14 are $10 and 5 and under are admitted FREE! ULMA Late Models and USRA Modifieds are also on the card.

Grandstands open at 5 p.m., with hot laps scheduled for 7 p.m. Racing will follow.

National Sprint Car Museum Madness!

The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum will head back to Moberly, Missouri, on Friday, August 28, with its “Museum Madness” program, in conjunction with that night’s FVP National Sprint League (NSL) sprint car race. Headlining the museum display will be NSCHoF inductee Bill Utz of Sedalia, Missouri, his famed Ol’ Yeller number 56 sprint car, and the late Ken Taylor’s restored number 96 super-modified.

Said museum curator Tom Schmeh today, “I can’t thank Chuck Hines and Bill Utz enough for their support of our efforts. They were both at the originally-scheduled event in May, which was postponed due to rainy weather, with the vintage cars. Also, our Museum Madness event at the Britt, Iowa, NSL show went very well, so we are excited to be bringing some really special prizes to Moberly late next week. If you are sprint car fan in Missouri, you will want to be at Moberly next Friday night, August 28, for the NSL-sanctioned winged 410-cubic-inch sprint car races and Museum Madness.”

The museum booth at Moberly will feature both restored cars and a table with the following informational brochures: museum membership program, Racers at Rest program, Stay in School program, Expand the Dream program, A Brick at a Time program, museum store catalog and www.missourisprintcarracing.com. In addition, thirty museum-related special prizes will be given away to lucky fans that night.
