FREMONT, Ohio (July 30, 2016) – A thunderstorm that produced over three inches of rain in a very short time flooded not only the Fremont Speedway track, by the kitchen area as well, prompting the cancellation of racing on Saturday, July 30 on Kear’s Speed Shop Night.

“We were ready for a little rain, but not that much in that short of time. It’s suppose to continue to rain off and on through the rest of the afternoon and that doesn’t give us enough time to get everything dried,” Fremont Speedway Promoter Rich Farmer.

Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, Aug. 6 on Specialty Fuels Night featuring the 410 and 305 sprints, trucks and late models. It is Fan Zone Night where the fans are urged to support their favorite driver with banners, etc. and there will be prizes for the winning fan group. It is also Child Heart Defect Awareness Night.
