MINOT, N.D. (August 4, 2016) — The 2016 season marks the 20th year that Donny Schatz has been on the road with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. To celebrate this special occasion, during the Gerdau Magic City Showdown Presented by Gerdau, Schatz Crossroads, Minot Tourism and Fastlane Carwash-Minot at Nodak Speedway in his hometown of Minot, N.D., the seven-time and defending series champion, will be signing commemorative posters on race day, Sunday, August 28, at the “Carousel Pub” under the grandstands from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Schatz was victorious at Nodak Speedway last year with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series for the fourth consecutive year. He leads the series this season with 16 victories as he chases his eighth championship. Schatz is the third-winningest driver in series history, with 220 A-Feature triumphs through July 30. Only three drivers in the series nearly 40-year history have won more than 200 races.
