From J&J Auto Racing
McKENZIE, TN – With Sprint car action all across the world last weekend, J&J Auto Racing teams found a way to secure many of the headlines. Robbie Farr, Bryan Mann and Jamie Maiolo took J&J Auto Racing cars to victory lane in Australia while Donny Schatz captured his fourth consecutive World of Outlaws title at the World Finals near Charlotte and Lane Whittington secured another CAJUN Sprinters Association championship.
TYREPOWER PARRAMATTA CITY RACEWAY
Robbie Farr made it three wins in a row on Saturday night at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway. He was victorious in the dash event to earn the pole position for the feature event. Farr jumped to the lead early in his No. 7 East Coast Pipeline backed J&J and led throughout.
“We came here knowing how tough the competition is and wanted to be on our game when World Series commences in two weeks,” mentioned Farr, following the win.
Craig Brady (No. 2 Pick N Payless J&J) challenged for the runner-up spot during most of the race before finishing fourth.
PERTH MOTORPLEX
Jamie Maiolo put on a thrilling show on Saturday night in western Australia charging from his ninth starting position to victory in the AHG Sprintcar Series A Main at the Perth Motorplex. Maiolo behind the wheel of the No. 99 J&J took the lead late in the race after a pair of J&J racers split time in the post position. Maiolo’s younger brother Bradley (No. 77 J&J) led early and Carl Dowling (No. 87 J&J) was in command during the middle stages before ultimately finishing second. Bradley Maiolo in only his second 410 Sprint car start finished third.
ARCHFIELD SPEEDWAY
Bryan Mann picked a great time to find victory lane during Round 4 of the Queensland Speedway Spares Series at Brisbane International Speedway. Mann led nearly all 25 laps of the feature event behind the wheel of the No. 16 Capalaba Wreckers J&J to pick up his second victory of the season.
“The car was really good considering it was a pretty difficult track tonight after the rain,” admitted Mann. “I just kept trying to run my own lines and stay in front in traffic.”
The win provides the team confidence heading into an aggressive schedule including the Performance Wholesale World Series Sprintcars Championship. After seven races of an estimated 50+ race schedule, Mann has two wins and five top ten finishes.
“We’ve got the whole of World Series in front of us over the next few months and we know how tough that will be against the likes of Brooke Tatnell and Robbie Farr and those guys so to get another win before we start the Series is a great result for us.”
WORLD OF OUTLAWS
On the strength of 25 finishes of first or second and only 11 finishes outside the top-10, Donny Schatz earned his fourth straight World of Outlaws championship. This was his second straight title while driving for Tony Stewart Racing and piloting the No. 15 Armor All sponsored J&J. Schatz earned his first two driving his parents’ No. 15 ParkerStore J&J.
The season was filled with several highlights including his run from 23rd to first in the All-Stars season opener in Florida in February. A victory at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Dirt Track during the NASCAR weekend as well as a second Kings Royal triumph in July. Schatz won his fourth straight Knoxville Nationals in August and the following week picked up his 100th career “A” feature.
Schatz and the TSR team join several other J&J teams as champions in 2009, including Tim Shaffer and the C&H Motorsports team (All-Stars) and JJ Grasso and the Palladino Motorsports team (URC).
CAJUN SPRINTERS ASSOCIATION
Lane Whittington captured the 2009 CAJUN Sprinters Association season championship.

Former World of Outlaws star Kerry Madsen picked up a victory on Oct. 31 driving a J&J owned by Todd Wanless. Madsen raced from the fourth starting spot and went on to claim the win at Brisbane International Speedway.
“It was a really fun race actually,” said Madsen recently following his win in the No. 2 J&J. “The track was a bit rough and got quite sticky but I ended up actually enjoying it!”
