From J&J Auto Racing
McKENZIE, TN (Jan. 13) – Robbie Farr and Donny Schatz scored recent victories in the rugged World Series Sprintcars tour in Australia. Both piloted J&J Auto Racing sprint cars to victory and continued the success during this year’s season Down Under.

BRISBANE INTERNATIONAL
Reigning World of Outlaws champion Donny Schatz closed his Australian tour with a third consecutive victory in the Titan Garages Australian Sprintcar Open at Archerfield Speedway near Brisbane. It was his third victory in seven starts behind the wheel of the Gary Rush Motorsport No. 2 Pick N Payless sponsored J&J.
Schatz, who finished second in Friday night’s race at Brisbane, started on the front row and led all 50 laps of the $20,000-to-win feature race.
“It has been a trying weekend for us, so I’m glad to have been able to finish up on top tonight,” said Schatz. “ In the feature, I knew I was good for the long runs but on the shorter ones I was a little worried so I really pinned it against the cushion on those late restarts. A couple of times I was all over the place but we got the job done after 50 laps and finished with another win.”
Garry Brazier raced his family-owned No. 1 J&J from the 14th-starting spot to third in the race. Robby Farr raced from the 17th-starting spot to finish 10th in the No. 7 EastCoast Pipeline J&J.
CHARLTON RACEWAY
After a tough weekend in Brisbane, Robbie Farr regained his winning ways by pacing the field to the checkered flag last Sunday night. Farr drove the No. 7 Eastcoast Pipeline J&J to victory in Round 10 of the Performance Wholesale World Series Sprintcars Championship at the Charlton Raceway in Toowoomba.
Farr wasted little time by jumping into the lead on the opening circuit of the 30-lap race. Throughout the race, he fought off several challengers to collect the victory.
The victory was just what the team needed following a frustrating couple of weeks that seemingly have taken them out of the championship chase for this year’s World Series Sprintcars title. The team’s change in philosphy also paid dividends Sunday.
“From now on they are just another race meeting that we are going out there to win,” admitted Farr. “We took that attitude into Toowoomba and we won, and we are taking that into every race from here on in.”
Kerry Madsen (Wanless No. 2 J&J) finished seventh and Ryan Farrell (No. 95 Monte Motorsport J&J) came home ninth.
