The Kistler Racing Products FAST Championship Series organization is putting on a Toys for Tots event on Saturday December 11th at Tailgators in Fremont, OH. This third annual event, titled “FASTfest III”, is another opportunity for racers, fans, and the local community to come together in the off season for a night of entertainment that will benefit a national charity organization. The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

Over the 62 years of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, Marines have distributed more than 400 million toys to more than 188 million needy children. This charitable endeavor has made U. S. Marines the unchallenged leader in looking after less fortunate children at Christmas. Over its 18 year life span, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation has supplemented local toy collections with more than 81.3 million toys valued at more than $487 million.

The FAST organization has teamed up with Ryan Magrum of Tailgators Sports Bar and John Havens of the Toys for Tots program to make this Christmas a little brighter for a few needy children in Northwest Ohio. The band Glasgow Kiss will take the stage at 9 pm and play until 1 am. Glasgow Kiss is a dynamic, four piece band of highly talented musicians from the Port Clinton, Ohio area, playing genre defining hits from just about every era of rock. The band prides itself on having a very diverse song list, ranging from classic dance songs to rock and roll anthems. This includes many hits other bands don’t play but are fun, entertaining, and guaranteed to fill up the dance floor. Other events will take place throughout the evening such as a 50/50 raffle and several FAST Series drivers will be bar tending for tips that will benefit the 2011 FAST point fund.

“Our 2009 Toys for Tots event was a huge success,” commented FAST’s Scott Porter. “FASTfest II was a really good time for the area race fans and local community and it benefited a good cause. We hope that everyone comes out to support this event on Saturday to fill the toy bins to the rim. We put on these events each year to give something back to the community and help a good cause.”

Admission to FASTfest III is just $5.00, but if you bring an unopened, unwrapped new toy you will receive $3.00 off the admission price. You must be 21 to enter the bar for this event. Tailgators is located at 740 North 5th Street in Fremont, Ohio. You can find out more about Glasgow Kiss on their web site: www.glasgowkissband.com

FAST Series 2010 Season Review DVDs Now Available!!!

With the 2010 Kistler Racing Products F.A.S.T. Championship Series behind us we look forward to spending the winter months preparing for the 2011 season as the weather gets colder with snow on the way. Opening day at Attica Raceway Park next March seems like a long ways away with nothing to do but sit around the shop staring at dormant fire breathing monsters who sit quietly waiting for the clay to thaw. The F.A.S.T. organization once again has the cure for your winter blues. Each and every B-main and A-main event for both the 305 sprints and 410 sprints were recorded and edited down to a 3-DVD set featuring more than 7 hours of race footage.

Re-live all of the 410 action as Byron Reed, Mark Keegan, Craig Mintz, Phil Gressman, Dean Jacobs, Bryan Sebetto, Kevin Lee, Todd Heller, Shawn Valenti, and Mike Linder drove their way to a Top 10 finish in F.A.S.T. points. Byron Reed would take home the $10,000 check and the Kistler Cup trophy at the conclusion of the season, unseating Craig Mintz from the throne.

The 305 sprints had one of the closest points battles ever in the inaugural season under the F.A.S.T. banner. Stuart Brubaker edged out DJ Foos by one point to claim the hardware and the $1000 check and the first ever FAST 305 Championship. Bobby Clark, Paul Weaver, Jimmy Colvin, Nate Dussel, and Zack Kramer were all within striking distance of the title heading into the final event only to be washed out by rain. The Top 7 drivers finished the season with a margin of just 16 points between 1st and 7th place.

Also, the 2009 FAST Series recap DVD is available with more than 4 hours of B-main and A-main action from the inaugural Fremont/Attica Sprint Title season. Craig Mintz took home the Kistler Cup in 2009 while Byron Reed and Mark Keegan chased him down right to the end of the season.
