Join Screven Motor Speedway Thursday February 3rd at the Inagural ‘Winter Freeze’ for a historic event as the top driving stars in the nation come together in two of the nations premier classes, the 410-winged sprint cars of the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions for $10,000 to win & the O’Reilly All Star Model Series endorsed Super Late Model event also paying $10,000 to total a $70,000 payout for the evening.
All National touring series are expected to be represented by at least one team. Twenty states are already represented with 4-time World of Outlaws Champ Donny Schatz from Fargo N Dakota headed to town to take on the Midwestern drivers & the infamous ‘Pa. Posse’ drivers in a National showdown. Schatz is coming off of 2 out of 3 wins in Sydney Australia over this past weekend where Tony Stewart received a blackeye from ‘discussions’ the track promoter. Kasey Kane`s team with Joey Saldana is expected, but no word yet if Kasey or Tony Stewart will be competing on their way to Daytona.
In the super late model class, 2-time WoO Champ Josh ‘ Kid Rocket’ Richards will make the trip from Shiinston W Va to take on the best Souteast Stars and a strong group of national contenders.
In continuing his efforts of keeping the fans in mind at all events , the Screven grandstands will feature HEATERS UNDER THE BLEACHERS compliments of owner, “Redd” James Griffin.
Gates will open for the Inagural ‘Winter Freeze’ at 4:00 pm on Thursday, Februrary 3rd 2011.
Practice will begin sharply at 6:00 pm with racing beginning at 7:30 pm.
General Admission grandstands are $25.00 for adults and children 12 and under are free.
Pit passes for adults are $35.00 and children 12 and under are $20.00.
A practice for both classes is also scheduled the night before.
Screven Motor Speedway is located on Highway 21 just south of Sylvania, GA between mile-marker 6 and 7 in Screven County, GA. The track is located at 6118 Savannah Highway, Sylvania, GA 30467.
