SELINSGROVE SPEEDWAY TO MAKE ANOTHER ATTEMPT AT 358 SPRINT CAR OPENER THIS SATURDAY

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Despite another week of unseasonably cold temperatures,
Selinsgrove Speedway officials are prepping for the start of the 358 sprint
car racing season at 6 p.m. this Saturday, April 2.

Joining the A&A Auto Stores 358 sprint cars will be the Salem RV
Center/Byers Built Engines pro stocks and Collier Paving & Construction
roadrunners. Track gates will open at 4 p.m.

Last weekend’s scheduled opener for the 358 sprint cars was cancelled due
to inclement weather.
Pat Cannon of Etters, who has two wins already this season in area
competition, is the defending 358 sprint car champion at Selinsgrove
Speedway.

The pro stocks completed one race this season on March 13 in which
defending champion AJ Hoffman of Richfield was victorious. This Saturday
will also be the first race of the season for the roadrunner division.
Ricky Bender of Jolliet is the defending roadrunner champion.

Selinsgrove Speedway also has an open practice session scheduled for
Wednesday, April 6, from 6:30-9 p.m.

Selinsgrove Raceway Park will present a program of go kart and micro sprint
car racing at 7 p.m. this Friday, April 1. Todd Hoover of Mt. Pleasant
Mills is the defending Selinsgrove Ford micro sprint car champion.
