From J&J
McKENZIE, TN – J&J Auto Racing competitors Jamie Veal and Derek Weaver scored two more wins in Sprint car action this past weekend. Veal raced his No. V35 J&J to victory in Australia’s Eureka Garages and Shed Sprintcar Series, while Weaver drove the No. 32 J&J to victory in the Southern Thunder Sprints program in Texas.
EUREKA GARAGES AND SHED SPRINTCAR SERIES
Jamie Veal was the star of the night this past weekend in Australian Sprint car action at legendary Sungold Stadium in Warrnambool, South Australia. It was his second recent victory in Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series action. Veal won on March 13 at Simpson Speedway
It was a hometown triumph for Veal in the 12th round of action of the series. He raced the No. V35 J&J into contention early and stalked early-leader Matthew Reed. The duo worked through traffic and Veal seized control on lap 15 of the 30-lap race.
“To take another win is fantastic and to get that win here at my home track with my family, you can’t ask for more,” said Veal following the victory. “The team did a fantastic job once again and what a race track. You had to find the right line to keep the pace up, the battle with Matthew (Reed) was challenging but good”
Fellow J&J racer Darren Mollenoyux was a man on a mission and charged up to second in his No. V52 J&J.
2011 Warrnambool Classic winner Steve Lines opened the program by earning the fast qualifier award driving the Monte Motorsport No. 7 J&J.
SOUTHERN THUNDER SPRINTS
After leading all 20 laps in the season’s first Southern Thunder Sprints event, Derek Weaver only led the final 20 feet last Saturday at Speedarama in Lufkin, Texas. Weaver made several runs at early leader Billy Page, Jr., and made his final lap run on the high side of turns three and four work as he got the No. 32 J&J to the start/finish line first to score his second consecutive win.
