Ryan Bernal of Hollister, Calif. has the 2011 USAC West Coast 360 Sprint Car Series lead but Bud Kaeding took home his second Tulare trophy Saturday night as the series again competed at the Gropetti Automotive Thunderbowl Raceway.
Kaeding, of Campbell, Calif., won Saturday night’s “Chris & Brian Faria Memorial” at Tulare in his Bowman Racing entry, leading the final 14 laps of the 21-lap race. He passed series point leader Bernal on lap eight and led the rest of the way to beat Bernal, Jace VanderWeerd, Peter Murphy and Richard VanderWeerd.
Bernal will take a 15-point lead over Jace VanderWeerd into an April 30 race at Tulare
