The Bay Cities Racing Association Midgets are headed to Madera Speedway this Saturday to tackle the fastest paved 1/3 mile in the West. Local favorites are the Swanson brothers, Kody and Tanner, from Kingsburg, CA, along with Pavement point leader Chad Nichols. These 3 shared wins at Madera in 2010.
Kody, who just got married this past Saturday and will be cutting his honeymoon short to make this event, will be driving Bob Rosen’s #4 Beast/Fontana. Tanner, Kody’s best man, will be driving Paul Eskesen’s #10c Beast/Mopar and Chad will be driving his own #17n Beast/Esslinger.
Also interested in the victory this Saturday will be Fresno State student Scott Pierovich in father Lance Pierovich’s #35 Gerhardt/Mopar, 7 time BCRA Champion Floyd Alvis in his own #83 Stealth/Gearte, 2 time Champion Nick Foster Jr. in Jim Fowler’s #1 Beast/Esslinger, Dillon Silverman in the RAM Racing #4a Spike/EcoTec, Nick Chivello in Cliff Blackwell’s #27b Beast/Esslinger, Devin LeHorgue in Rick Faeth’s #2 Stealth/Gearte and Mikey Snider, making his first appearance, in father Lauren Snider’s #2k Stewart/Mopar.
The Midgets are joined this weekend by the BCRA Vintage Division. Pit gates open at 2:00pm with Qualifying starting at 5:00pm.
