“Hoosier Daddy” NCRA Father’s Day Special Announced!

– Park City, Kansas – June 7, 2011 – It is a two night weekend that you will not want to miss as the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Smiley’s Racing Products and 81 Speedway present the “Hoosier Daddy” Father’s Day Special on Saturday and Sunday night, June 19th. It will also be a special Sunday as a day of activities at the track will go to benefit the annual Steve King Foundation night at the speedway.

The Bob Howard P.D.C and Mopar NCRA southern sport modified division will help kick things off for the series and the speedway on Saturday night with the tracks weekly divisions of AAA modifieds, rookie modifieds, street stocks and thumpers also in competition.

Then on Sunday night it is the “Father’s Day NCRA Triple Header” with the series sprint car, modified and Great Plains region late model divisions taking to the track. The winged warriors of the sprint car division will be competing for the $3000 first place prize while the modified division will be competing for the normal $1000 to win. The new Great Plains late model region will see the winner take home $1000 with $200 for all drivers making the feature finale. It will be the first time ever three of NCRA’s top divisions will be competing on the same night at the speedway.

As if this huge Father’s Day NCRA Triple Header isn’t enough, it will also be the annual Steve King Foundation night with an array of activities throughout the evening on Sunday going to benefit the Foundation.

Below is the itinerary for the weekend of events:

Saturday night: Gates open at 5:00 PM with racing scheduled for a 7:00 PM start time. The NCRA’s southern sport modified division will highlight the racing card with the AAA modified, rookie modified, street stocks and thumper divisions all competing. Grandstand admission is only $9.

Sunday evening: The concourse will host a variety of events with all money collected going to the Steve King Foundation. They include the following:

DJ/Karaoke will take place from 4:00-6:00 PM

Bean Bag Tournament with $10 donation from 4:00-6:00 PM

Steak Dinner with $10 donation from 5:00-7:00 PM

Sunday night: Gates will open at 3:00 PM with hot laps taking place from 5:00-6:00 PM. Driver introductions will begin at 6:30 PM with start time slated for 7:00 PM. Grandstand admission is $15 with kids admitted for just $5.

So make plans now to bring that father that you love to 81 Speedway for an evening full of entertainment and ground pounding excitement of racing, NCRA style! This will be one event that you will not want to miss.
