(Gardena, CA, June 29, 2011) After an unusual three-week break in his busy racing schedule, Gardena, California’s Greg Alexander will be back in action this Saturday night, July 2nd, as Perris Auto Speedway celebrates Independence Day with the Firecracker 30. Fans around the world can watch Alexander race on The PAS new pay per view web cast channel for $4.99: http://www.perrisautospeedway.com/livefeed.html
In three outings this year at the Riverside County half-mile clay oval, Alexander has impressed one and all by keeping the white John Bellegante owned Barnes Systems, Amsoil, Persall Masonry, and Scott’s Headers and Mufflers #23 Sprint Car in the fight against the bigger buck USAC/CRA teams. Thus far he has one fast time and has not qualified slower than eighth. He has made all three main events and finished 10th and 11th in the first two. In his last appearance on May 28th, he led his first ever laps of 410 Sprint Car competition before flat tire ended his night with a disappointing 19th place finish.
Alexander only races at The PAS in the Amsoil USAC/CRA Series. That means he has only been to three of the series first seven races. Despite the fact that he has missed the four out of town events, he is still ranked 17th points.
Be sure to come out early and meet Greg and pose for photos at the pre-race autograph and photo session on the track beginning at 3:00 PM. The City if Perris Centennial Celebration will take place at the track with games, inflatables, dunk tank, live band and the biggest & best fireworks show in Riverside County.
Spectator gates will open at 3:00 PM this Saturday and the first race will be at 7:00. For more information on Saturday’s race, please visit the Perris Auto Speedway website at: http://www.perrisautospeedway.com/livefeed.html
On July 16th, Alexander will be driving the Chuck Tyler owned Trench Shoring, Barnes Systems, Sander Engineering, Amsoil, Tyler Pool Service, Tyler Family Farms, King Racing Products #72 in the USAC West Coast 360 race at Giant Chevrolet King’s Speedway in Hanford. In addition to the regular main event on the 16th, Alexander will take part in the makeup for the March 31st rained out main event.
