CONCORD, N.C. — Aug. 1, 2011 — The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series is set to embark on a huge weekend, beginning Friday in the hometown of 20-time champion Steve Kinser as the Outlaws invade Bloomington Speedway for the first time since 1999. On Saturday it’s off to I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo., for the Ironman 55 — the most grueling annual event on the tour with 55 laps around the high-banked I-55 bullring.
WHEN
Friday, Aug. 5, at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, Ind. Pit gates open at 2 p.m., grandstands open at 4 p.m., hot laps at 6:30 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 6, at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo. Pits and grandstands open at 2 p.m. DIRTcar UMP Modified hot laps and heat races begin at 4 p.m. World of Outlaws hot laps and qualifying at 6 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.
