Drivers Scott Holcomb, Ray Miller and Kevin Chaffee all stand within one race of the point lead in the USAC DMA Midget Series, but they all have to catch Joe Krawiec.
Krawiec hangs onto a slim 20-point lead over Holcomb entering this Saturday night’s race at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt. Miller is 36 out of the lead and Chaffee 47, with 74 total points available Saturday.
Krawiec, of Bristol, Conn., racked up three straight feature wins before slipping to fourth and eighth in the last two events. Holcomb has a win, two seconds and a third, while Miller has a third, two fourths and two sixths. Chaffee, the most recent series winner, also has a trio of seconds so far.
