TULSA, Okla. (September 6, 2011) – Winged Sprint Cars return to Peoria, Arizona’s Canyon Speedway Park this Saturday night as the Sunoco Fuel ASCS Southwest Region tackles the 3/8-mile clay oval.
And leading the way into Saturday’s action is Las Cruces, New Mexico’s Rick Ziehl, who tries to move one step closer to a fourth consecutive ASCS Southwest championship.
Ziehl topped the first ASCS Southwest event of the season at CSP on May 21, a win that launched a run of five wins in six events. The rest of the current top ten includes Kyle McCutcheon, John Carney II, Steve Stone, Joshua Hodges and Joey Chester.
