Sarver, PA (October 21, 2011) Mother Nature continues to dampen the spirits of racing even on the final race weekend of 2011! Despite a clear radar, a steady mist sprinkled the track from 6:00 until 7:30 forcing the cancelation of Friday Night’s portion of the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede. Over 200 cars are registered for the event, with more expected to register tomorrow, plus an addition 60+ for Sunday’s Enduro.
Friday Night’s program has been moved to Saturday night with hot laps starting at 6:00 and racing at 7:30. All divisions will hot lap and run heat races. Saturday’s program has been moved to Sunday, with hot laps starting at 3:00, followed by consolation races and features at 4:00.
Pit gates, registration and tech inspection will open at 12:00 Noon both days. Grandstands open at 4:00 Saturday and 2:00 Sunday.
The Pittsburgh Circle Track Club’s Annual Fall Parts Flea Market is still on for Saturday morning from 9:00AM-1:00PM in the upper lots. There is no setup charge or fee to sell parts, but you must provide your own tables. The sale will run throughout the event, from Thursday, October 20 through Saturday, October 22.
Precise Racing will also provide gift cards to be given away to 20 lucky race teams and fans! Gift cards can be used on any available products, including popular Hoosier Tire racing apparel that will be on hand at the track.
