FREMONT, Ohio – Following the suit of the World of Outlaws and UNOH All Star Circuit of Champion sprint car organizations, Fremont Speedway will require the teams competing in the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprints to use Goodyear Tires on all four corners in 2012 – front and back.
Attica Raceway Park will also require Goodyears on all four corners of the 410 sprints in 2012.
“Between Attica and Fremont we have 11 All Star shows and a World of Outlaws show in 2012, so this just makes sense,” said Fremont Speedway Promoter Rich Farmer, who noted the track has had a Goodyear rear tire rule the past two seasons.
Farmer said the track would give the added Goodyear tire money back to the 410 sprint teams. He has incorporated a $1,000 bonus to the driver who turns the quickest lap in qualifying from throughout the season. Also, the 410 sprint rookie of the year will earn $1,000 at season’s end.
“Also, Callies Performance Products has stepped up and is giving $100 to the fast qualifier each night during non-sanctioned races,” said Farmer, who added the hard charger – the driver who advances the most positions from his/her original starting spot – in each weekly, non-sanctioned feature also gets a gift certificate for a new Goodyear tire.
