– Tulsa, Oklahoma (February 22, 2012) – The 2012 schedule of events for the ASCS Northwest Region has been released with a total of fourteen nights of racing between seven tracks in Washington and Oregon. The 2012 schedule is slated to begin in the later part of May and extends into the final weeks of September.
Starting in the state of Washington with a pair of nights at Grays Harbor Raceway on May 26th and 27th, the Northwest tour will then trek into Oregon for a pair of nights at Cottage Grove Speedway on June 22nd and 23rd.
The month of July will be the busiest by far with as the 2012 Summer Sizzlin’ Northwest Speedweek gets underway at Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, Oregon on July 13th and 14th before venturing to Southern Oregon Speedway on July 16th, Coos Bay Speedway on July 17th, Cottage Grove Speedway on July 18th, Sunset Speedway on July 19th, and finally Grays Harbor Raceway on July 20th and 21st.
Of the 8 nights that will make up the 2012 Summer Sizzlin’ Northwest Speedweek, five will coincide with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MavTV.
The 2012 ASCS Northwest Region will conclude with back to back nights at the Yakima Dirt Track on September 21st and 22nd.
Roger Crockett enters 2012 as the defending ASCS Northwest Region Champion. Crockett has a pair of ASCS Northwest Regional titles to go along with Twenty-one ASCS Northwest Region A-Main victories since 2008.

The 2012 season marks the 21st year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing for the American Sprint Car Series, which brings the best of Sprint Car racing to dozens of different tracks throughout the nation and into Canada. Anchored by the Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series presented by MavTV, ASCS also consists of ten different Regions throughout the nation.
