With a strong Nor’easter moving over the state of Pennsylvania over the weekend, Lance Dewease was only in action Friday night at Williams Grove where the reigning track champion scored an 11th place finish.
With 37 cars checked into the pit area, a rare time-trial show at the speedway saw Dewease time his ViperVenom Fuels/Viper Risk Management Group/Penske Shocks backed entry time in 13th quick on the night.
Starting second in the first heat, Dewease help his position and finished seventh, transferring to the feature, where he gridded the star-studded PA-Posse field from the 13th spot.
On this night, Dewease simply wasn’t able to get going forward.
“For whatever reason it was, we weren’t able to get going forward,” explained the Fayetteville, PA native.
Despite several caution periods during the duration of the event, Dewease was only able to maneuver up a few spots, and ended his night with an 11th place finish.
“It wasn’t the finish we wanted, that’s for sure,” Dewease said. “It’s one of those nights you look to forget about and head on to the next one.”
Dewease would like to thank Viper Risk Management Group, Wings Unlimited, Hank’s Performance Products, Schaeffer Racing Oils, Penske Racing Shock,s FK Rodends, Keizer Aluminum Wheels, DMI Racing Components, Astro Titanium, Morrison Racing Engines, Tom Shockey Collision, Kirkey Seats, FW Graphics, WRT Web Designs, WRT SpeedWerx, ViperVenom Fuels, and Schoenfeld Headers for their continued support.
