Mike Spencer and Nic Faas will renew their duel for the 2012 AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car title July 28 at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.

The two point leaders finished 1-2 in last Wednesday’s “Firecracker 30” at the half-mile dirt oval. The victory was Spencer’s 21st at the PAS and his fourth in a row after Faas took the 2012 Perris opener.

Spencer’s point lead stands at 74 points after the most recent race.

Cory Kruseman led the first 10 laps of Wednesday’s race, then Spencer led the rest of the way. Faas, who started at the back of the feature field, nearly caught Spencer but had to settle for second ahead of Brody Roa, Ryan Bernal and Austin Williams.
