The USAC DMA Midget Series resumes July 28 at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt. and Kevin Chaffee holds a slim three-point lead over Scott Holcomb in the latest tally. Holcomb was second and Chaffee fourth in Saturday night’s 30-lapper.
Dana Shaw of North Scituate, R.I. found the winners circle for the first time Saturday, leading the final 18 laps after passing Jim Close on lap 13. Trailing Shaw at the finish were Holcomb, Joe Krawiec, Chaffee and Jeff Champagne.
Defending series champ Krawiec is third in the new point list, just 10 behind the leader.
