INDIANAPOLIS (July 30, 2012) – During next week’s 52nd annual Goodyear Knoxville (Iowa) Nationals, those in attendance can purchase almost every type of Sprint car-related item. The event draws people from all around the world and, thanks to Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) and STP, one lucky fan will leave with the ultimate memento.
During this year’s event, five-time Knoxville Nationals champion Donny Schatz will wear a special blue Simpson suit. The TSR driver will look to win his second consecutive Nationals in the TSR No. 15 STP/Armor All/Chevrolet and his sixth overall. Schatz trails only Steve Kinser, his TSR teammate who has 12 Knoxville Nationals triumphs, and his five Nationals wins tie him with his childhood hero Doug Wolfgang.
The contest is an on-site promotion, meaning all ballots will be collected in Knoxville between noon CDT Wednesday (Aug. 8), and Saturday (Aug. 11) at 3 p.m. CDT. The winning entrant will be announced at 4:15 p.m. at Schatz’s merchandise trailer, located across the street from Knoxville Raceway on Highway 14, next to the Casey’s General Store.
A random draw will be conducted with five winning ballots being pulled. The first ballot pulled will be for the Simpson racing suit that Schatz will wear in his pursuit of a sixth Nationals crown. Four other items will be given away prior to the ultimate winner being announced.
The winner does not need to be present at the drawing to claim the prize. Entrants will be asked to provide general information on each ballot, and there is no limit to the number of times someone can enter.
Fans can enter to win the driver suit at four locations during the Nationals.
