One weekend after sweeping a pair of non-winged races, Kyle Hirst climbed aboard the Finley Farms No.77f machine for a pair of winged events, and parked in victory lane both nights.
Friday night Hirst and the Finley Farms team checked into the Siskiyou Motor Speedway for the Golden Fair Shootout.
With 22 cars on hand, KH stopped the clocks during time trials with the 2nd fastest lap of the nights, putting his CLT Logging/Finley Farms/Les Schwab Tires No.77F machine in the second heat.
In his heat, the Sacramento, CA driver was able to work his machine up into the second spot transferring him into the feature event and the night’s dash to set the line up.
Finishing in the fourth spot in the dash, KH was set to roll of for the 30-lap feature event in the second row. Hirst wasted no time working his way to the lead, as the Finley Farms machine was simply operating.
Once out in front Hirst was never challenged as he cruised to the win, giving car owners, Scott and Jason Finley their second consecutive win at this event.
Saturday night, the team headed north to the Southern Oregon Speedway in Medford, OR.
With 18 cars checked into the pit area, Hirst again timed in second fastest putting him in the third row of the second heat. Scoring a third place finish, Hirst again transferred to both the Dash and the Main events.
Scoring a fifth place finish in the dash, Hirst would have his work cut out for him in the feature, as he gridded the field from the fifth spot on a very hooked up track.
When the race got underway, Hirst slowly began working his way forward, as the Finley Farms car was again very strong.
Methodically working his way through the field, KH would grab the lead around the halfway point, and never look back. He would go on to complete the weekend sweep, and win his fourth consecutive race.
“This Finley Farms team gave me a great car all weekend,” Hirst said. “I can’t thank Jaosn and Scott Finley enough for asking me to drive this car for them, and Corey Guy and Michael Helwig for working their butts off all weekend.”
ON TAP: Hirst is now scheduled to pilot the Roth Motorsports No.83jr this Saturday night with the King of the West series in Chico, CA.
