El Paso, TX — (August 31, 2012) — After our fans having to wait for almost a month for ASCS Renegade Sprint car action, it would be Dylan Harris in the Minks’ Motorsports #1M coming home with the win at “The Park”.

It would be a fast track with Harris and the Top runners turning less than 16 second laps. Unfortunately, the night would not start off so well for teammate Rickey Hood. Hood would bring out the red flag as going into one he would take a ride and flip his 1X machine. Rickey was ok………the car is to be determined. It wouldn’t take Dylan long to jump ahead as he had lapped the back of the pack within 6 laps of the race. However, the race would take an interesting turn with 8 laps of the 25 lap main event to go as Lorne Wofford would spin coming off of turn 1 and heading into 2 and bring out the caution. That would line up Cesar Fuentes, Curt Barnett, Brandon Schure, and Royal Jones all within striking distance of Dylan. However, the black and yellow machine would hold on to his lead and cruise his way into victory lane. Tune in tomorrow night at Southern New Mexico Speedway to determine if he can double down this weekend. Cesar Fuentes would come in 2nd followed by Lorne Wofford who would come back from his yellow and finish 3rd. With his finish tonight, Wofford would also take over the EPSP points lead in the ASCS Renegade Sprint Cars. Curt Barnett would finish 4th in a “bad fast” #43 machine, and Brandon Schure in his Western Technical College sponsored 21TX would round out the top 5.
