– Saturday night, Tommy Talton and his Tarlton Racng team checked into the Kings Speedway in Hanford, CA for the Turner Memorial, but the team was also racing in honor of Tommy’s late father-in-law, who had passed away nearly two years ago to the day. Honoring his family the best way he could, Tarlton proceeded to pick up his eighth win of the season and his second at the Kings Speedway.

With 16 Rebel Cup 360 sprints in the pit area, Tarlton’s night didn’t get started off how he would of hoped as he timed in with a lackluster lap that put him 13th fastest overall.

Starting deep in the second heat, Tarlton got his elbows up aboard his Corporate Lending America/Tachi Palace and Casino/Sharp Insurance No.21 machine and scored a third place finish, and ultimatley improved his starting postion for the 30-lap feature event.

The Terminator wold have his work cut out for him starting in the fourth row, with an always tough Bud Kaeding on the pole, but the 2012 Johnny Key Classic winner wouldn’t let that deter him as he thrilled the crowd from the waving of the green flag.

The Easton, CA driver wasted no time showing the crowd who the best car was as he rapidly got past the likes of Dominic Scelzi, Steven Kent, and Craig Stidham as he shot into the top three by the 10th marker, chasing down Vandeer Weerd and Bud Kaeding.

Clearing Vanderweerd on the 15th circuit, Tarlton and his Bandy and Associates/BG Lubricants/Pro Signs backed machine hounded Bud Kaeding as the caution flag waved on the 18th lap.

The ensuing restart showcased the two veteran drivers fighting for the lead position, with Tarlton finally getting the best of Kaeding as he worked the top-side of the speedway, as he cruised on to pick up his eighth win of the season, and his second at the speedway.

“It feels awesome to get a win tonight in honor of my wife’s late father, Lloyd Howard, who passed away nearly two years ago to the day. He loved racing and this is the best way to honor him,” Tommy said.”Our Corporate Lending America/Tachi Palace and Casino machine was really fast in the feature event and it’s pretty cool to win a race after starting in the fourth row.”

Tommy would like to thank Corporate Lending America, Tachi Palace and Casino, Sharp Insurance, Bandy and Associates, Pro Signs, BG Lubricants, K&N Products and Astro Titanium for their continued support.
