Atlanta, GA – (October 15, 2012) – The United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by Goodyear winged sprint cars return to the venue where it opened the 2012 racing season in just six days on Saturday, October 20th at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. The Magnolia Motor Speedway event will pay $2000 to the winner and $300 to the last place finisher.
Jason Sides who competes regularly with the World of Outlaws racing series won the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour season opener on March 3rd at the speedway. Since that time, the USCS drivers have competed in 30 events and Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas is the series current National point’s leader. Behind Crawley in the standings is ten-time USCSs print car National Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee. All three drivers are expected to be in the field on Saturday night.
Additionally on the action-packed racing card of seven divisions are the speedway’s Super Late Models, Nesmith Dirt Late Models, Street Stocks and Mini Stocks. An open practice session for all divisions is scheduled for Friday, October 19th at the speedway during a full program of racing action for the K&N Filters USCS Modified Touring Series for Outlaw Modifieds and the www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series winged mini sprint events. Those two series join USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint cars on the triple-header USCS racing card on Saturday night.
