Although Kellogg’s Qualifying Night only consists of two separate qualifying rounds it is a night with a lot of importance and bearing on the rest of the weekend. With heat race grids for Friday and Saturday lined up according to qualifying, the rest of the PEAK Motor Oil World Finals weekend can be dictated a lot by the opening night.
A late draw of forty-second out of fifty competitors seemed to put the Big Game Treestands #7 team in an early rut but ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ motored to a strong lap of 13.087 seconds in the opening round which resulted in the 5th fastest time. Another late draw of forty-five in the second round of time trials also didn’t phase Dollansky who rocketed around the highside pinning down the 8th fastest lap at 13.278 seconds.
With twenty cars inverted into five heat races for each of the following two nights, the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim will start outside row two of heat #5 tonight and take the green from inside row two of heat #3 for Saturday’s program which can be seen live on SPEED beginning at 7 PM central.
