Port Royal, PA – Port Royal Speedway and PRS Promotions closed a successful season of dirt track auto racing action in mid-October.
The speedway and PRS Promotions officials extend a thank you to all fans, competitors, employees and support staff for making the 2012 season one of growth and success at the historic oval.
“We continue to be encouraged by not only the continued support of the track by the fans and drivers in 2012 but by the growth of that support as well,” says PRS Promotions front-man Steve O’Neal.
“The direction of the Juniata County Agricultural Society and Port Royal Speedway continues to be a good one.”
Thanks to strong support throughout the season by racers and fans alike, work has begun planning for the 2013 season with several oval initiatives either in the planning stages or already underway.
Early work is likewise underway plotting a 2013 schedule of events
Season general admission passes, season pit passes, season seats and season parking passes for 2013 will go on sale by late November, just in time for holiday gift giving.
The speedway awards banquet is set for Saturday night, February 2, 2013 at 5 pm at the Port Royal Community Building.
Likewise, tickets will go on sale by late November.
The speedway announced a five-year tire deal for sprint cars with Hoosier Tires in late October.
More details about Hoosier Tire requirements for sprint cars at the track in 2013 are in the offing.
The 2013 season opener for sprint cars is tentatively slated for Saturday, March 16.
