BRYANT, FANELLI BATTLE FOR LAS VEGAS TITLE SATURDAY

USAC’s 2012 Las Vegas Ignite Midget Series concludes Saturday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring in Nevada and 47 points separate the top two drivers in the standings.

Phoenix, Ariz. driver Bryant Dawson has had an impeccable record at the LVMS oval this year. In 11 starts he’s had five wins, three seconds and three thirds! By contrast, Rio Rancho, N.M. driver Michael Fanelli has had three wins, two seconds and a third, but he won the last two features.

Dawson and Fanelli are both seeking repeat USAC driving titles. Dawson won the 2010 B and 2011 Mod and Heavy AA Mopar .25 Midget titles, while Fanelli won the 2010 Unrestricted Animal and 2011 Heavy World Family and Heavy 160 Mopar .25 Midget titles.
