OCRS RETURNS TO LAWTON SPEEDWAY JUNE 29th!

Tulsa, OK — (February 11, 2013) — Oil Capital Racing Series president Barry Grabel and National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee Lanny Edwards have selected June 29, 2013 as the date OCRS sprint cars will return to the 1/4 mile track of the Lawton Speedway. OCRS last visited Lawton Speedway In 2011 when Choctaw, Oklahoma’s Kyle Cobb took checkers in the OCRS season opener in April. He then he backed up that win with another strong victory in June thus sweeping the two Lawton Speedway OCRS races that year.

   “It’s an honor to be going back to Lawton Speedway,” said Grabel. “Lanny, Beverly and the entire Edwards family have been a fixture in Oklahoma open wheel racing for decades. Their longevity and dedication is second to none.
