TULSA, Okla. (April 1, 2013) The Hose Advantage Store Southwest Region heads into their sixth event of the 2013 season this Saturday, April 6 as the series returns to the Tucson International Raceway in Tucson, Ariz.

After five rounds of competition, Ziehl maintains his points lead by 53 markers over Lance Norick who raced to a runner up finish this past Saturday at the Arizona Speedway. Billy Chester holds the final step on the podium for the moment 68 points behind Ziehl.

As regional points are tallied based off the highest finishing regional drivers in a National Tour event, Ziehl has been able to maintain his points lead having made the A-Feature in the first four events of the season that were paired with the National Tour.

Thus far in 2013, Brian Brown, Roger Crockett, Jason Johnson, and most recently Logan Forler have Southwest Region triumphs. Forler’s trip to the Arizona Speedway was a test and tune for the Lake Havasu City, Ariz. to narrow down engine woes. A faulty magneto was discovered and allowed Forler to become the fourth winner in five events.

Named the “6 for the 6th”, events at the Tucson International Raceway will include six classes as the Hose Advantage Store Southwest Region is joined by the X-Mods, Super Stocks, Factory Stocks, Mod Lites, and Hornets.

Gates for this Saturday’s Southwest Region event will open at 5 P.M. with events beginning at 7:15 P.M. Admission is $15 for adults, $13 for Seniors and Millitary. Children 11 and under are admitted free into the grandstands. The VIP Suit is available at the Tucson International Raceway and is a $7 upgrade.
