(Perris, CA, April 5, 2013) Fans who purchase advance tickets for the “SoCal Showdown,” featuring the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars in their only Southern California appearance of 2013 at Perris Auto Speedway on Saturday April 13th, will receive a special gift. A free “Fan Pit Pass!”
The pass will allow the fans to get an up close look at the cars, take photos, meet and get autographs (most drivers will have free hero cards that they will sign for the fans) from many of fastest dirt track sprint car drivers in the world.
“Try getting close to the inside of a Major League Baseball locker room,” Perris Auto Speedway promoter Don Kazarian smiled. “Isn’t going to happen. You just cannot do it. Practically the same with NASCAR and Indy Car racing. This is a special deal that will allow fans an up close look at what goes on behind the scenes with the World of Outlaws.”
There is no age limit and there is no time limit that fans can spend down in the pit area.
“Like last year, the pit area will be on the pavement behind turn one,” Kazarian stated. “If somebody wants to hang around in the pit area all night long and see what goes on, they are welcome to enjoy the night that way. Of course, I think fans will want to check out these racecars in the pits and then watch them on the track as it will be their only time in Southern California this year. The speed of the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars is simply breathtaking. You cannot miss it.”
Will call for fans to pick up their advance tickets and “Fan Pit Passes” will open at 3:00 PM. The spectator gates will open at 4:00 and those who have a “Fan Pit Pass” can take full advantage of their behind the scenes opportunity at that time.

Fans can participate for free in The PAS 2013 Fantasy League at: http://www.shorttrackin.com/. There are separate divisions for the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars and the Amsoil OilTwins.com PASSCAR classes of the LoanMart Street Stocks, Pick-A-Part American Factory Stocks and the Modifieds. Players can compete in as many divisions as they like. The winner of the USAC/CRA game will win a 20-lap ($240.00 value) driving session on the famous PAS half-mile clay oval courtesy of the Sprint Car Driving Experience. The winner of the Modified group will take receive a $50.00 gift certificate for Amsoil products from The Oil Twins. More prizes will be announced as they come in.
Perris Auto Speedway is located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds (home of October’s Southern California Fair), approximately one hour east of Los Angeles and one hour North of San Diego. To get to the track, take the 215 freeway, exit on the Ramona Expressway and go three miles east to the fairgrounds.
