Toccoa, TN — (April 13, 2013) — New Jersey hot-shoe Robbie Stillwaggon raced past the previous night’s Carolina Speedway USCS feature winner, Eric Riggins, Jr. on lap fourteen of thirty and then held off the challenges of Riggins and Lance Moss to reach the www.rockauto.com USCS victory lane first on Saturday night at Toccoa Speedway. It was the 2012 URC Sprint series Champion’s career first United Sprint Car Series feature win. Eric Riggins, Jr. capped a great weekend with a runner-up finish followed by Lance Moss in the K&N Filters Podium Award third place. Team-mates, Morgan Turpen from Cordova, Tennessee in fourth place and ten-time series Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee in fifth place rounded out the top five
Defending series National Champion, Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas led the next group of drivers in sixth place. Terry Witherspoon from Jacksonville, Florida finished in seventh place followed by two-time 2013 USCS feature winner Derek Hagar from Marion, Arkansas. Matt Kurtz from Jacksonville, Florida followed Hagar in ninth place. Shawn Murray, also from Jacksonville, Florida rounded out the top ten drivers.
Lance Moss who resides in Cherryville, North Carolina kicked of the evening’s action by winning the Hoosier Speed Dash in Jeff McCall’s #23 J&J Auto Racing sprint car. Moss then won the Engler Machine and Tool First Heat race and set his sights on a sweep of the evening’s competition after drawing a zero in the K&N Filters Pole Award drawing to garner the K&N Pole Position for the start of the 30-lap contest. Eric Riggins, Jr. from Charlotte, North Carolina, who was looking for a weekend main event sweep, was the winner of the Butlerbuilt Second Heat. Tim Crawley who started fourteenth and finished in sixth place, captured the Wilwood Disc Brakes Hardcharger Award.
The next event for the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint cars will be the first ever visit of the USCS to Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN on Saturday, April 20th.. The track is located South of Nashville in Middle Tennessee.
