CHICO, CALIFORNIA (April 23, 2013) – Sacramento’s Willie Croft will try to continue his winning ways this Friday night, April 26, at the Silver Dollar Speedway. Croft will enter Friday’s race having won the last three sprint car main event he has entered. The streak began at Placerville Speedway two Saturday’s ago. Then this past Friday Croft won the 6th Annual Bill Brownell Memorial and backed that up the next night by winning the King of the West opening point show at Antioch. “I think a lot of this has to do with my confidence,” said Croft on Sunday after his King of the West win. “I am surrounded by a great team and they give me great cars.”
Promoter Dennis Gage has also noticed Croft’s winning ways. This Friday night, Gage is offering Willie Croft a $400 bonus if he can win four in a row at Silver Dollar Speedway. If Croft can get his fourth win in a row at Chico he will earn $2,400. “I think the competition is so equaled now-a-days,” said Gage. “When someone like this gets on a roll they should get some recognition.”
Enterprise Rent-A-Car and JP’s Paint and Body Works will sponsor the nights racing events. There are two Enterprise locations in Chico; 2267 Esplanade and 2500 Zanella Way. JP’s is located at 1840 Park Ave just a few blocks away from the race track.
