Elma, WA — (April 29, 2013) — Frustrating is the nice way of putting it.

Losing another opportunity to race because of rain last Saturday was, well, frustrating. But the fact that Trey Starks had set quick time in qualifying was a difficult pill to swallow when the second event of the season at Grays Harbor Raceway was called because of weather prior to the heat races.

“It’s kind of frustrating,” he said. “You show up to the track and get halfway through and it gets called. Maybe it will result in good karma the rest of the season.”

It was Starks’ first appearance this season at the 3/8-mile track, where he has earned a podium finish in each of his last three races and his most recent feature win.

“The car felt really good,” he said. “It was pretty hooked up because it had been raining. It looked like if it stopped raining it would have been a decent track. Unfortunately, we got bad weather.”

Weather permitting, Starks is scheduled to compete on Saturday at Grays Harbor Raceway or at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash., where he finished seventh in his only race this season.
