The third race of the 2013 Rislone URC Sprint Series will take place at the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday night, May 18 with race time set for 7 PM.
Robbie Stillwaggon and JJ Grasso were the victors at the at Big Diamond and Selinsgrove Speedway and both will be gunning for the win at Delaware International Speedway this Saturday night. Making his return to URC is eight time champion Curt Michael of Ocean View, DE. Along with his eight titles, Michael also owns forty-six URC career feature wins and he’ll be returning Saturday night, driving the Bill Gallagher owned Valley Forge INC 5G.
The familiar 5G will again be green and white but carry a different design scheme. Mark Madonna has rejoined the team of the 5G. He was a crew member when the Michael/Gallagher Team won the URC Championship in 2010 and 2011. The team will also include Chad Long, Larry and Jan Gilbert and Curt’s father, Al Michael. The 5G sprinter will be a Triple X Chassis with a Rider Motor. Sponsors include GEI Enterprises, Valley Forge INC, Lealands.com, Heffner Racing Enterprises, Kruger Trailers, Triple X, K&N Air Filters, Keizer Wheels and Harley Davidson of Seaford, DE.
Following the Delaware International Speedway event, the Rislone URC Sprint Series will head to the New Egypt Speedway on Saturday night, June 1 followed by a visit at the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, June 7.
Davie Franek of Wantage, NJ is URC’s current point leader holding a fifteen point advantage over 2012 URC Champion Robbie Stillwaggon of Burlington, NJ. Brian Carber, Josh Weller and JJ Grasso make up the top five in the point chase. Pennsylvania driver Ryan Wilson is also expected to be in action at Delaware International Speedway.
