Jackson, MN — (June 4, 2013) — The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series is edging closer to its return to Jackson Speedway for only the eighth time in series history on Friday, June 14, for the The Big Game Shootout Presented by Eyecon Trail Cameras.
“Jackson is pretty different,” Chad Kemenah said. “It’s real, real fast. I remember it being big and flat.”
Kemenah has yet to win at the fast half mile, where five different drivers have picked up a World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series win. The most recent winner, Steve Kinser in 2010, is the lone driver to record multiple victories. He also won in 2004 and 1988.
Donny Schatz, the defending series champion who is currently second in the championship points battle, won in 2006 and points leader Daryn Pittman earned the 2005 victory.
Sammy Swindell, who is fourth in points, was victorious in 1988 and Bobby Davis Jr. claimed the inaugural race in 1987.
With a variety of winners in the handful of events the past 25 years, Kemenah said one thing stands out the most about the The Big Game Shootout Presented by Eyecon Trail Cameras.
“I think that’s one track that we get a big, huge crowd every time we’ve been there,” he said.
