Hanover, PA – (June 7, 2013) – Tropical Storm Andrea checked into the Trail-Way Speedway pits on Friday and she was not a welcome competitor.

The first tropical system of the 2013 hurricane season forced track officials to order the fourth cancellation of the seasonat the Adams County oval. The program was scheduled to feature 358 sprints, limited stocks, street stocks and the season-opening features for the 1,000cc Sidewinder sprints.

Trail-Way had to cancel back-to-back programs in April because of weather. Rain also prevented the scheduled program on May 10. The Second Annual Armin Hostetter Classic, an AMA short-track motorcycle program on May 18, was curtailed to heat races when rain hit the track as evening approached.

Next Friday (6/14), Trail-Way Speedway will host the 358 sprint cars, 358 late models, 600cc micro sprints and classic cars. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and racing begins at 7:30 p.m.

The following Friday (6/.21), the track will again welcome the 358 sprints and limited stocks in another 7:30 p.m. program. They will be joined by the street stocks and 270cc micro sprints on ARCH (Auto Racing Club of Hagerstown) Night. Club members will be admitted with a $2 discount with presentation of their club cards.
