Tulsa OK — (August 1, 2013) — Brand Racing Engines became the sixth different engine builder in 15 OCRS events to score a feature win when Mustang Oklahoma’s Shane Sellers scored his first ever OCRS triumph at the always fast Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada Oklahoma. The win by Sellers also gave Maxim Chassis their sixth victory in the series thus breaking a tie with XXX Chassis for most wins. Sellers’ also makes for ten different winners in those 15 events, which is one of a few records the series is setting this year.
With seven races still to go on the 2013 OCRS tour, both Chassis Builder and Engine Builder categories are very close and very much up for grabs for the season ending ‘High Performer” honors. While Maxim has the most wins in the Chassis rankings, Eagle Motorsports still holds a slim three point lead (43-40) over Maxim by virtue of the consistent solid finishes their teams produce.
The engine builder ‘High Performer’ of the year is becoming a three-horse contest with only 12 points separating first to third. Boyd Racing Engines holds the top spot with their 44 points (5 wins) while DSO engines has 39 points (4 wins) and STK Racing Engines has 32 points (3 wins).
The OCRS sprints are currently on a hiatus as the teams take a break from their busy schedule. The next event on the OCRS 2013 tour will be held at the Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore Oklahoma on August 17th.
