Pittsburgh, PA –(August 22nd, 2013) — Danny Holtgraver will make his return to the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania this Saturday evening, August 24th; taking part in the 24th Annual ‘Western PA Sprint Championship’ sanctioned by the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions. The $5,000-to-win, UNOH All Star ‘Ohio Region’ program, presented by Hovis Auto Supply, will be Danny Holtgraver’s fourth (4th) appearance at the Mercer 3/8’s mile oval in 2013; unbeaten in feature competition during each and every visit this season. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native will face-off against Western Pennsylvania’s finest this Saturday night; including current track point leader and defending track champion, Eric ‘Turkey’ Williams. Other Western Pennsylvania competitors planning to be in action on Saturday evening include recent Mercer winners, Scott Priester and Adam Kekich; as well as Western Pennsylvania veteran and multi-time winner, Rod George.
Holtgraver, who pilots the B&R Racing, Canton Erectors, Berlin Natural Bakery, Alternative Power Sources, DKW Transport, Brian Kemenah captained no. 45 sprint car, will enter his single-race weekend currently third (3rd) in the updated UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions ‘National’ point standings. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native also finds himself currently third (3rd) in the UNOH All Star ‘Ohio Region’ standings; with Dale Blaney leading both the ‘National’ and ‘Ohio Region’ championship. Danny Holtgraver, who is a full-time traveler with the UNOH All Stars in 2013, will enter the Mercer Raceway Park gates on August 24th with two (2) UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions victories under his belt already this season. The ‘45’ team found victory lane during UNOH All Star competition this season at the I-77 Raceway Park in Ripley, West Virginia; and the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. Interestingly enough, Holtgraver is four-for-four during feature action at the Mercer 3/8’s mile oval in 2013; winning all four (4) events, sanctioned and unsanctioned, he has entered in. During recent ‘410’ sprint car competition, Danny Holtgraver found himself earning a podium finish at the annual ‘Lou Blaney Memorial’ at Sharon Speedway on Tuesday, August 20th; charging from an eighth (8th) place starting position to finish third (3rd), officially, during the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win ‘Lou Blaney Memorial.’
