GREG ALEXANDER TO TUNE UP FOR OVAL NATIONALS – LOOKING FOR A TURKEY NIGHT RIDE!

By Scott Daloisio

 Greg Alexander

(Torrance, CA, September 12, 2013)   Greg Alexander and the Chuck Tyler Motorsports Team will be in action this Saturday night, September 14, at the Glenn Howard Memorial for the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars at Perris Auto Speedway.  It will be his final warm-up on the famous Riverside County half-mile clay for the 18th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals, presented by All Coast Construction, on October 31st, November 1st and 2nd

Saturday’s race will honor the late Glenn Howard, a longtime Southern California racer, car owner, innovator and race official.  It means a lot to all of the competitors, including Alexander, to do well in the race as Howard was a friend to one and all.  For the 24-year-old Torrance, California racer, Saturday also marks his last time on a track that has not been all that kind to him in 2013, before the West Coast’s biggest traditional sprint car race.  While he has made the main event at all three of his appearances at the 18-year-old track this year, his best finish has only been a 10th.  He has his sights set on improving on that this Saturday.

When the Oval Nationals rolls around, Alexander plans on doing double duty this year.  In addition to driving the Chuck Tyler Motorsports #72 on the 410 portion of the program on November 1st and 2nd, he will run the inaugural Oval Nationals 360 championship on October 31st in the Eric Rickard Motorsports #13.  Plans for that race received a change on August 17th at The PAS.  Car owner Rickard races that car in The PAS Senior Class and he was hit so hard by another car in hot laps, it blew out the brakes.  With no way to stop, the car went head on into the wall and the chassis was destroyed.  However, the team has a DRC Chassis on the way now and they will have the car ready to go for the Halloween Night race.

With Thanksgiving fast approaching, Alexander is available and looking for a ride in the 73rd running of the prestigious Turkey Night Grand Prix at Perris Auto Speedway.  If anyone would like to talk to him regarding a ride, please call Alexander at the following number:  (714) 610-4566.

For the 2013 season, the Chuck Tyler Motorsports entry is sponsored by Amsoil, oiltwins.com, Barnes Systems, Sander Engineering, Freeway Auto Supply, Kenny’s Components, SC Grafix and Scott Daloisio Sports.
