Sydney Speedway Awaits O’Neill

After two encouraging performances in Queensland last month, Jamie O’Neill continues his east coast adventure in New South Wales this Saturday night for the opening round of the 2013-14 season Sydney Speedway Sprintcar Track Championship.

It has always been one of O’Neill’s career ambitions to compete at Sydney Speedway aboard a Sprintcar, and the Northern Territory-based racer is very excited about competing at the 460 metre clayway for the first time.

“I’m really looking forward to finally getting the opportunity to race at Sydney Speedway,” he expressed. “Sydney Speedway is regarded as one of the best tracks in the world, and the competition is some of the toughest in the country.”

When it comes to his Sydney Speedway debut, O’Neill has one main goal: to qualify into the feature race.

“Firstly, I’d love it if I can qualify into the feature race, and secondly, I’d just like to finish,” commented the Darwin-based racer. “Like any race track, laps are vital – if I can do that then the better off I will be.”

O’Neill and the Xtreme Motorsport team would like to thank their 2013-14 season supporters: Xtreme Garden Care, The Mercure Parramatta, Sam Eyles Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Repco, Sign City and Grizzly Dyno Shocks.
